American Brussels Griffon Rescue Alliance (ABGRA) came into being to meet the needs of the Brussels Griffon who is abandoned, or who might be abandoned, or whose circumstances we can improve. We will endeavor to accept these Griffs, regardless of their circumstances, knowing that we might be their last hope. We strive to leave no Griff behind.

This includes finding a foster home for the Griffon, where his needs will not only be met, but where he will be nurtured and allowed to start the long journey to reach his full potential. We will try to find a foster home where there is a human who stays home most of the day.

During the time the Brussels Griffon is in the foster home, we will make a diligent effort to find a forever home where the Griff will be able to live out his life with dignity, love, and acceptance, knowing he has finally found a place where he belongs.

All of our Griffs are vetted before being placed, including spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and occult heartworm test.

We are a nation-wide, non-profit, foster-home based rescue organization. We have no kennel facility. All of our Griffs are in foster homes in the areas noted on their biographies. If you do not see a Griff you would like to adopt in your area, check back soon. Unfortunately, we add Griffs quite frequently.

We do not ship our Griffs. If you are approved to adopt one of our Griffs, you will have to make arrangements to drive to the foster home to pick him up or, if you fly, make arrangements for your Griff to fly home with you in the cabin.

We come together as an Alliance of workers, with a single-minded purpose and that is to rescue Griffs and place them in forever homes. We come of our own free will, as unpaid volunteers, each with our own talents. We agree to share these talents for the common good.
